The Anglo-Chinese School (1967) Alumni Association Malaysia has, for a number of years, generously rewarded our students who have excelled in the academic field. The noble intent, to quote Datuk Lean Meng Seong, ‘is to instil in the ACS community, both past and present, that irrespective of our backgrounds, situation in life or circumstances, we stand united in a shared value: gratitude to those who have done much for us and our desire to leave a legacy by which personal drive and capability in educational attainment is recognised, in perpetuity’. The Awards also spur the students to push themselves to excel in an atmosphere of healthy competition. There are currently 6 annual awards. The following is a list of the awards and their respective recipients since 2005.

The S. Ramalingam Award for Mathematics
RM 500 awarded to the student with the best result for Mathematics T in the STPM Trial Examination. This is awarded by the family of the late Mr S. Ramalingam and administered by the ACS (1967) Alumni. Each year, a member of the family makes the effort to be present during the presentation of the award.
